UK Metals Expo: Shaping the Future of the Metal Manufacturing Industry

Metallurgica San Marco, a leader in the production of brass bars for stamping and turning, is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming edition of the UK Metals Expo, scheduled to take place at the NEC in Birmingham on September 11th and 12th, 2024 (stand D72).

The fair represents an important opportunity to strengthen its presence in international markets and to present the latest product and process innovations to the key players in the relevant end markets. Metallurgica San Marco is distinguished by its constant commitment to innovation and the pursuit of increasingly high-performance and reliable solutions. For this reason, its presence at this international exhibition, which brings together the world’s top producers and processors of all metals, both ferrous and non-ferrous, will be a unique opportunity for networking and business development.

The British exhibition will also be an opportunity to showcase the production of LIBRA, the flagship lead-free alloy from Metallurgica San Marco, which achieves 100% recyclability and contains recycled material. LIBRA stands out radically from other alloys that eliminate lead by using other alloying elements. An innovative, circular, and eco-friendly raw material, LIBRA is also certified UNI/PdR 88:2020, ensuring compliance with the requirements for verifying the recycled and/or recovered and/or by-product content present in products, according to the highest and most current sustainability standards.

The achievement of this important certification is part of a broader company project called MSM Get to Zero, aimed at achieving increasingly high environmental standards and reducing CO2 emissions. Metallurgica San Marco has long been aware that corporate growth must necessarily be environmentally sustainable, aiming on one hand to reduce the production impact and exploitation of the planet’s raw materials, and on the other to decrease the amount of waste generated.
